Welcome to REAL Booktings, that's Reading, Enjoying And Living all things book related.

I have always always loved to read and have been flirting with the idea of starting this blog for a while now - mainly to share reviews and thoughts on books I'm reading (and potentially peppered with a few other thoughts that emerge along the way).

When you describe yourself as a book dragon (yes dragon, i don't like worms), people immediately ask what your favourite book is. How long have you got and who could pick just one?!

In a world filled with content and technology enabling TBR piles to flow gloriously out of control, the true question in my mind is: what are the books with true staying power? I mean the ones which have you completely absorbed, annoyed, astounded, that open your mind, that are the future classics...or your personal classics.

Given you'll never read every single book, this favourites list is in fact a lifelong curation. So far I have Matilda, Rebecca, Jane Eyre, Memoirs of a Geisha, A Little Life and a few others on mine.

I'm a NetGalley Professional Reader, member of the One More Chapter, Harper Collins Readers Room and NetGalley groups and am always open to trying a recommendation. Predominantly read fiction but try and throw in some non-fiction now and again! (Usually self-help, spirituality, biography or linguistics).
